Aluminum alloy 6063

Aluminum alloy, from a general point of view, it is a homogeneous mixture of at least two elements. This mixture is usually made to obtain hybrid materials that obtain the most relevant physical and mechanical properties that each element had separately.

Aluminum alloy, also known as light alloy, is a type of low-density material obtained by mixing aluminum with other elements. Aluminum alloys improve the initial properties of natural aluminum and are an important structural material.

Aluminum 6063

Aluminum alloy 6063 is a medium strength alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloying elements. Commonly known as an architectural alloy, aluminum 6063 has good mechanical properties, a good surface finish and high corrosion resistance.

Aluminum 6063, T4 temper has good formability, in the T5 condition it has high corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, low density and in the T6 temper is easily heat treatable and can be easily welded and anodized. Alloy 6063 is commonly used in intricate extrusions, architectural applications, irrigation pipes, doors, window frames, roofs and sign frames. It is supplied as standard profiles including tee, channel, angle and flat bar, as well as box and tube sections.
